Pregnancy and Beyond

Welcome! My name is Deena and I am a registered nurse located in the South Bay. I started my nursing career in 2013 as a pediatric nurse and have since served a wide range of clients from all around the Bay Area. Starting Pregnancy and Beyond was based on my desire to provide my experiences and knowledge to individuals who are seeking support but may not be eligible for government or local county resources. Caring for a little one is a huge life adjustment. It's understandable one might have a wide range of emotions. Everyone deserves access to resources, and especially so when considering the impact of care giving on a child's health trajectory. I genuinely care for all my clients and strive to support their journey in parenting. I appreciate the time you've taken to explore this site. About me

I was born and raised in the Bay Area and have lived in San Jose since 2015. I have a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from San Jose State University and a Master's in Advanced Public Health Nursing from UCSF. Prior to becoming a nurse I spent about 10 years as an informal educator teaching science classes to a wide variety of students from preschool to high school throughout the Bay Area. I'm married and have one daughter. I enjoy crocheting and baking more sweets than I should be eating!
